Why it's our go-to: We've seen more systems ruined at removal than at any other point — torn lace, stretched base, knots pulled loose, all from someone peeling a dry bond because they were in a hurry. C-22 does the work for you. Call it twelve dollars that adds months to a unit. It's the cheapest insurance in hair replacement, and the one product we wish every client bought on day one.

Why it's our go-to: Almost every drugstore shampoo is loaded with sulfates, and sulfates do two things to you at once — they eat the adhesive under your hairline, and they strip hair fibers that will never repair themselves the way growing hair does. This is the set we hand clients on day one and the one we reorder for the studio. Switching shampoo is the easiest change a new wearer can make and the one most people skip until the damage is already visible.

~Gentle Washing: Use a sulfate-free shampoo to wash the men's hair system once a week. Apply the shampoo evenly and avoid excessive rubbing or tangling. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water. ~Conditioning Routine: Apply a high-quality, sulfate-free conditioner after shampooing. Focus on the ends and avoid the base to prevent loosening. Let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing with cool water. ~Weekly Deep Conditioning: Once a week, indulge in a deep conditioning treatment. Apply the conditioner generously, covering the entire hair system. Leave it on for at least 15-20 minutes, then rinse thoroughly. ~Avoiding Hot Water: Use lukewarm water instead of hot water. Hot water can weaken the bond between the hair system and the scalp, reducing its longevity. ~Pat Dry, Don't Rub: After washing, pat the hair system gently with a soft towel to remove excess water. Avoid rubbing, as this can cause tangling and damage the hair fibers. ~Detangling with Care: Brush the hair system 2-3 times a week using a wide-tooth comb or a specialized brush designed for hair systems. Start from the ends and work your way up to avoid pulling on the base. ~Protective Styling at Night: Before bedtime, loosely tie the hair system in a silk or satin scarf or use a satin pillowcase. This minimizes friction and reduces the risk of tangling while s v leeping. ~Avoiding Heat Styling: Minimize the use of heat styling tools. If necessary, use them on low heat settings and always apply a heat protectant spray. ~Regular Inspections: Periodically check the hair system for any signs of wear, loose threads, or damage. Address any issues promptly to maintain the system's integrity. ~Professional Maintenance: Schedule regular visits to a professional stylist experienced in caring for men's hair systems. They can provide specialized treatments and ensure the system is in optimal condition.
